Welcome Newcomers!

There was a recent discussion between Happy Hula Dancer (Ardath) and Sassy63 about having a welcoming page for new DeAnza Springs Resort members. That was a great idea!

We'd like to use this section to welcome newcomers to the resort. You don't have to have a Google account to announce yourselves. Simply type in your message then click OpenID and enter a name or click anonymous (you can always add your name anywhere in your post, if you like), and click the orange button, Publish Your Comment.

Tell us how you heard about DeAnza, your experiences in the lifestyle, places you have been to and/or been members. If you are thinking about becoming permanent or part time residents, let us know where you are looking to call "home".

Share whatever you like! Ask questions!

Announcement- We've Gone Public!

At the request of the resort owner, this blog is now open to any and all that come by. Membership is no longer required.

This will allow members of other clubs and people curious about the lifestyle to visit, read, contribute and ask questions.

We've basically had one person, Ardath, keeping this blog afloat. THANKS ARDATH!!!! Hopefully, we can get some more posters here to help this great lady out!

HEALTH AND FITNESS

HEALTH AND FITNESS

Looking for suggestions to share with others regarding our everyday life choices toward a healthier, happier, more stress free lifestyle. We already know many of the benefits of fresh air, sunshine, and a healthy diet. As naturist, we welcome the freedom that comes with being able to swim in water without having to wear restrictive soggy textiles; to feel the gentle breezes caress our skin as we bask in the warm sun; to play and dance upon the sweet smell of green grass. What many of us may not know, however, is when, where, and how to best make the most of our experience. With that said, we invite you to share some helpful suggestions here. Please do add your comments, and visit here often to learn more.

Here's to your health and fitness for many years to come!

Bare Tales

A great idea was given to me by Ardath!

We all have stories about funny things that happened to us, friends, and family. Each of us have experienced things that others haven't, things that are interesting enough to make good conversation around a fireplace or after a nice dinner while still at the table.

Ardath emailed one such story that I hope she will post here.

I have a few tales, some about bares, but none about bears!

Did I ever tell you about the nudists from Glen Eden that arrived in a bus where I used to skydive?.............

Jokes & Funnies

A little humor, now and then, is good for the soul. Jokes are meant to be shared and this is a good place to share them.

Heard any good ones lately? Care to post them? Images can be posted, too. Look for the little picture icon in the editor command line just above where you type. You can also customize the fonts, change the colors and paste links. A spell check icon, ABC, is also available. Since no one is grading our posts, I doubt it is all that necessary!

Keep them G-rated, or, at least, in keeping with DeAnza Springs and AANR standards.

Birthdays

You may have read in an earlier post about ideas for topics that Aloha Dancer suggested a thread about Birthdays. If you would like to have your and/or your spouse's birthday to be posted, please join our blog and post it under this thread, or, send me an email, mike@deanzasprings.com , and I will be glad to post it for you.

If you want to use just your first name(s) or full names or first name and site number, whatever you'd like, go ahead. Please, just do not post someone else's full name without their permission.

I will post my birthday and Bonnie's after seeing someone else go first. I am kinda shy that way.

Out And Around The Resort

Would you believe you can find oysters and clams just a short drive from the resort? Do you like to fish? There are places to fish, mines, Native American pictographs, early California homesteads and a myriad of natural and historic wonders within walking distance of the clubhouse.

For the more daring explorers, more mines, ancient oyster and clam beds, even geological wonders like Sandstone Canyon, Canyon Sin Nombre and the Mud Pots, all within an easy drive in the deserts below the resort. Four wheel drive vehicles are recommended for some drives, an absolute must for others.

If you have discovered interesting places, how about posting them here. They don't necessarily need to be related to DeAnza Springs Resort. If you know of places that can be visited while staying at any AANR resorts, feel free to post!

DeAnza Springs happens to be located where it is situated in and surrounded by incredible mountain and desert scenery, much of which can be explored in the buff!

Recipes for AANR/DeAnza Springs Cookbook

During the AANR National convention, some members were discussing one of my favorite topics- food. It was mentioned that we ought to put together a cookbook. An idea was born. A great idea, I think!

We discussed it with Dave. He liked the idea instantly. Right away, he ran back into the office and brought out a great looking cookbook from another resort. It was very well put together. We could do the same with our own kind of flair.

Want to help?

Please feel free to send them to me in an email at mike@deanzasprings.com , or post your recipes here so they can be incorporated into the cookbook. We should include at least:

  • Drinks
  • Appetizers
  • Salads & Soups
  • Main course of all kinds and from all over the world
  • Side dishes
  • Desserts

Did I leave anything out? Help me out here! Let us see what ya got!

Welcome to the DeAnza Springs Resort's Blog!

Welcome to the DeAnza Springs Resort blog!

I am Mike, always with Bonnie next to Norm & Mary's place, and I volunteered to get this blog up, running and moderated on behalf of the owners of the DeAnza Springs Resort. It came from the idea about being able to share ideas, stories, items for sale, notices and even recipes for a AANR/DeAnza Springs cookbook.

We plan on starting some posts that can remain as permanent topics, and hope for new topics from members and guests. Feel free to post suggestions!

If you have any problems, please send me an email at mike@deanzasprings.com or post a comment in the PLEASE READ: Report Problems Here topic.

Thanks for visiting and please post!

Mike
